History of Profuomo braces

Profuomo is an authentic Dutch brand, nowadays even one of the most famous Dutch brands in men's fashion. It all started in 1934 when the Dutchman Heinz Michaelis founded the family business. Heinz was a tailor who had fallen in love with Italy and was inspired by it, he wanted to bring a bit of Italy to the Netherlands and that is what he did. He did his shopping in Como, the silk city of the world. Profuomo still buys silk there to this day. Michaelis' goal was to make quality clothing, where every step in the production process received attention. Everything had to be done precisely and carefully. This attitude still prevails at Profuomo, only the company has grown over three generations in knowledge and expertise.

The company is now managed by the Brandsmas, the grandchildren of Michaelis. In the early years, Michaelis only made ties. It was not until 1985 that the product collection was expanded and the brand name Profuomo really came into being. In 2003, it was proven that Profuomo is indispensable in the wardrobe of many men in Europe, as Profuomo achieved a sales record of five million ties. But Profuomo is not only extremely popular among ties, but also among braces. The braces are expertly made with high-quality materials and by the best weavers.
