What color should I choose when buying braces?
When you buy braces, what color do you choose? We are happy to help you out. Because color determines the success of your outfit, but it is not always easy to make choices. The rules of thumb for colors when choosing suspenders
- The leather colors should preferably match each other. If you wear classic shoes, make sure that the brown or black color of the leather in the suspenders (for example the loops or the triangle on the back) matches the color of the leather of your shoes. Simply put: avoid having brown leather in your suspenders while wearing black shoes. And vice versa.
- Remember that when you wear a suit, the suspenders are not always clearly visible. So there can be some contrast between the color of the suspenders and the color of your shirt, as long as the color is in the same color family. So with a light blue shirt, dark blue suspenders go very well. With a dark green shirt, light green suspenders go very well.
- Ensure harmony between the colour of your outfit, shoes, socks and suspenders. See your complete outfit as a composition of different colours that do not all have to be the same, but do match.
- The last rule: there are no rules. Braces are a distinct product. Do what feels right for you, do what makes you happy and do what gives you confidence.
